At Lacewing, we work hard to honor the ancient art of European dry stack stone walling and masonry, an all-natural technique established over the centuries. Our head of hardscaping, Ben Schultz, was apprentice to Master Craftsman Nick Aitken, noted as one of the best stone wallers in the world.

Dry stone walls and other dry set stone features are not bound by rigid adhesives, meaning very little dependence on adhesives and mortars, and thus

adaptive to frost heave and shifting ground while remaining strong and beautiful for decades.

Additionally, we will always attempt to use stone that is native to the area, further

guaranteeing that your landscape will radiate a natural, regional quality.

Our process always begins with assessing your particular landscape for slope and drainage

before designing what will best suit your needs and the landscape.
